In the heart of the Medina you will find the mellow and cool rooftoop restaurant Terrasse de Èpices. Its owned by the same people who own the popular Café de Epices (see below). They make a delicious tajine de poulet aux olives, but don’t serve alcohol. You can always head to the popular Café Arabe (see below) for drinks afterwards.

Café des Épices on the square Rahba Lakdima is a great place to stop on your way to the souks for a sandwich or an afternoon coffee to rest your tired feet. It’s a very popular place to sit around and watch life unfold on the square, so you might have to wait a while to get a table. They make excellent sandwiches and a really good coffee.

Beyrouth
If you want to take a break from the Moroccan kitchen and like food from the middle east restaurant Beyrouth in Nouvelle Ville is a really good option. They make a delicious Meze which is more than enough to satisfy two people for dinner. Meze is a selection of small dishes such as falafel, humus and baba ganoush. Don´t overeat from the first dishes as they just keep on serving new ones fresh from the kitchen.
